Bamboo (is) Fun!

so dear girls and boys, Julia has a new wacom!!!
the Bamboo fun touch and pen, yeah!
My old graphire 4 didn't work well for a loooong time now and it wasn't fun to draw on it -.-
So I just wanted to look at all the nice tabletts that were out there (looove the cintiq <3) but wasn't going to buy anything new, or so I thought...
But wacom offered a "used" bamboo small for about half the prize (used like, for exhibitions and presentation purposes) and I just had to buy it! Half the prize!!!
yeah I know... I get easily intrigued by shiny objects -.-

Oh well ^^
So it arrived yesterday (I was waiting in Scott Pilgrim fashion since monday 12 am when I ordered it XD)
and I started drawing immediatly!
it isn't incredible great art, that should hang in the louvre, what I am showing you right now. just what I did the last 24 hours with my new pen tablett:

I should have paid more attention to his hairdo... but his hands were so shiny ^^

that's it for now, but I'm sure I'm going to to draw a lot more digital now
and drool about some popular hunks *^.^*

painting instead of sewing

I wanted to sew today the minute I was awake (but still in bed...daydreaming is so much fun ^^)
buuuut somehow, I never came around to do it...I cleaned up my room, put some felt under my heels, so they wouldn't go all "click click click" when I'm walking.
I don't know about you guys, but I hate it to walk home alone at night with clicking heels. Feels like "I am a victim! Over here, come and get me"...meh maybe I am just paranoid but, hey, I now have felt under my heels and feel a tiny bit safer when I'm walking home alone ^^
Then I made some lunch, cleande up my room a bit more, skyped with my cousin and surfed the net, where I finally got inspired!
but not inspired to sew, but inspired to PAINT!
this blogpost by the ingenious iHanna got me going. She wrote about working with oil pastelle crayons and experimenting with color, and I loved it!
I have three packages oil pastell crayons (for whatever reason) and never used them, cause I didn't like their waxy quality, it was always messy and not in a good way -.-
but she smudged her crayons with her fingers and it looks great, don't you think?

sooo, originally I had planned to finally get down to sewing after cleaning up, buuut fate intervened or whatever instead, I got my crayons and went crazy

I mixed it up a little with watercolors and watersoluble crayons

in the end I even used my 3D paint =D

And don't think I stopped there!

I put all the crayons away and my acrylic colors smiled at me, invinting me to play... why not I thought and went to work

and cause I didn't get enough, I even did collage in my watercolor sketchbook

with the juiciest of all collage materials: hand dyed (with colored ink) paper towles

the light was crappy as always when taking pictures, cause I love to work late at night and I'm almost never able to wait till the next day to snap some photos :/

Dresses

Good news folks:
I'm sewing again =D

Recently I made two dresses and a skirt for my mum, but I didn't sew anything for me in, what feels like forever...

We're having a big family party in march and I'm thinking about what to wear for a few weeks now ^^
I decided to sew three dresses, so I can change my mind last minute, depending on the mood I'm in.

One dark, sexy version based on the sequin shoulder dress by Lipgloss and Black and in addition to that the tiered tutu
(the dress is hugely inspired by theire new lookbook, go check it out, it's amazing!)

the sketch doesn't look that impressive I'll admit, but wait till you see the photos I've taken =)

Another one is more American Apparel style like, I take their simple design

but use stunning fabric (honestly I loooove the fabric, it's my favorite at the moment, the colors, it has a great touch, the pattern, just lovely)

and the last design is not finished yet...

it will look something like this, but I'm not sure. the design will most certainly change, before I sew it. I don't even know which fabric I'll use and whether I can keep my promise not to buy anything new and reduce my stash :/

And I'm sorry for my scrappy drawings XD normally I'll just sketch everything I have in mind and when I like it, I start drawing it more carefully with details and colors, like this

Buuut, I hadn't had time yet and I rather write this blog post and sew instead of studying for my exam next week XD

I started yesterday night with the first dress and I messed up phenomenally (is that a word?)
naw, it wasn't that bad... but I really had problems making the sweetheart neckline. Somehow my thread tension didn't work the way I wanted it to and the silver fabric wasn't very nice either...Did you guys came ever across a tutorial for this kind of neckline? I would love to see it, cause I'm lost -.-

I improvised and gathered the bust with an elastic so it would look like a sweetheart :/ meh

what do you think about the buttons? on or off?

see how it puckers? stupid thread tension...

I had to sew on top of the neckline to hide the seam allowance...stupid shiny sheer fabric XD

I love the quality of the sheer fabric, it looks like water when you move....does that make any sense?

And since I don't normally wear this fitted dresses, I'll make a matching tutu in black and white like the one from L&B. And I guess the weather won't be too nice in march so I'll probably make a black long sleeved shirt to wear underneath.

5 minute DIY and Headbands

Hey guys =D

I saw a picture of Sylvia (from Lipgloss & Black) the other day and looooved her headband!
I feel like I am kind of stalking those two right now XD
But you just have to love their style <3

anyway, I thought I could pull off a headband look myself and anyway life is too short to look boring, so here is what I looked like saturday, when I went fabric shopping (that was before the idea with destashing hit me ^^)

the yellowish skin tone and the colors in general look a bit off, I had the worst light when taking the pictures and obviously I am no pro in editing them XD

the headband was originally a scarf I borrowed from my dear granny ^^

Anyhow, I only got one scarf like this, and it isn't even mine! There had to be other ways to get a fashionable headband statement right?

so here is what I came up with yesterday night:

braided headbands from fabric scraps, yeah ^^

I made a thick and a thin one, but I don't think they go really great with my hair, so I sell/swap them on KleiderKreisel <- German side, If you need translating, just write me a comment ;-)

They are so easy and fast done, you could easily make one yourself and you get rid off some of your fabric scraps too =D

and last but not least, A quick DIY something (it isn't really worth mentioning it is so easy...)

I saw a guy the other day, probably someone from fashionweek ^^
wearing a thin chain several times wound around his right boot and it looked fabulous!

it took me 5 minutes to remake and I already had all the supplies I needed:

just a long (leftover) chain, I had lying around, a jump ring and some sort of jewelry clasp will do. Also a chain cutter/ plier thingy is quite handy since you can easily break your nails when prying open those nasty jump rings -.-
and tadaaaa...finished

just be carefull that your chain length is enough to measure several times around your bootleg.
If you don't like ankle boots, you can make this chainklet by Jenna C. It looks great too!

woah...remember this post

It's more than a year ago and so much stuff happened o.Ô
enough happened that I never continued my upcycling after the second piece ^^
Oh well, but the thing is, I still have the problem with my two too full closets! Not to mentioned my growing fabric stash...Oh dear

Oh how I love that kitty :3

So what to do with two closets and three big and heavy containers full of juicy fabrics?...

Do I really have to ask ;-)

I am going to do fantastic things of course!

but other, than last year I won't make any promise or set myself a time limit to how often I do these reconstructions! It didn't work well last time, so I won't try it again.

I did a couple of things I somehow never got around to post, but hopefully that will change soon! The weather will be nice (can't wait for spring and the first sunbeams!!!) and than I will probably be more motivated to take some pictures.

Oh and I get a (real!) dress form!!! where I can change the sizes and everything =D
It will arrive mid february I guess, but I can't stop anticipating the mail man everytime the dorrbell rings XD

Soooo, maybe you'll here soon from me, but first I have to finish a dress I started to make my mum ;-)

At the moment, I think my hair looks really bad, I got a hair cut at the weekend and the fringe/ bangs got cut way to short... I think I look a bit like a friar (first picture when you google it XD )

but what are wigs, hair accessories and hats for... eh?

Hi there,

SoI dived right into college and kind of drowned in it, to much work, to many new people, to many courses, to many copy crads, books and stuff to organize etc...

so, I already ditched my second subject (I started studying theater and egypt studies) so egypt studies went done...hieroglyphs are fascinating and all, but it's just not my kind of stuff...
you should read the "red pyramid" (from the author of percy jackson) though, its fun ^^

though i'm still enrolled in theaterstudies I haven't been going to my courses recently, cause I got an internship at the "Deutsches Theater" in berlin, where I am responsible for costume and stage design, yeah =D

so thats that and, hey I discovered some real nice art journaling/ mixed media thingies in the past few days:

I think the idea is really great and I've already made two little journals with this method. I changed the binding though. i took the books to my sewing machine and ran a straight stitch down the masking tape and it worked fine for me =)

and yeah, it is snowing like, well not hell, but you get my point, in the last few days...I can't believe that a few weeks ago it looked like this:

I applied for theater studies and... got in... weird huh?
So I'm going to start next week. First some introductory course, then I hopefully get my schedule some day and mid october I'm officially a student again
...so weird.

So today I happened to come across a new blog called outsapop.
just after reading a couple of posts, I had already a huge to do list created in my mind... this blog is so dang inspiring!

I think this trend is kind of old and lots of you guys may already know about it, but I didn't. In fact I read about it today for the first time
so I researched how to shredd shirts and stuff and came upon this lovely video:

this is exactly how a tutorial should be like (for easy projects) no babbling or silly music, just quick and easy steps to follow.

So after this, I grabbed a shirt and started pulling the threads...and didn't stop for several hours.
Sitting 7 hours straight isn't good for your body... -.-
but I finally finished it and even though I ripped a hole in it on one side, I still like it a lot ^^
Best thing ever?
It looks awesome with my new thrifted blazer =D

Oh well, my last skirt was done so fast, that I did another upcycle project today.

The colors are all wrong, but whatever -.-

I hardly ever wear pink or anything near it, so it is a nice change to have a little purple pink skirt that doesn't look that bad. feels girly ^^

Fortunately I could reuse the zipper

ReSales and other thrift shopping

I haven't updated in a while.
I wasn't really busy, more like I had nothing to write about, ya know?

On wednesday I was thrift shopping at ReSales and found some awesome stuff for about 10€!
those two nighties for example (2€ each)

I probably make some cute summer skirts off them

And then I found some new shirts

I just love the colors of this one!

I have some really good ideas how to upcycle these ^^

and since I was just recently at a second hand shop but hadn't gotten around to making anything out of it yet, I decided to recycle one of those items first, before altering the new clothes.
So here you go:

my Art Journal

I was so thrilled with painting the sandwich paper, that I had to make a whole bunch more ^^. Maybe a tutorial follows, I'm not sure yet, but first you get a glimps of my moleskine art journal:

(I used watersoluble crayons to doodle and covered the whole thing in wood lacquer....bad idea since it smeared -.-)

I wrote with a golden gel pen onto it, maybe you can see it better here

I don't know what I'll do with this yet, but I love the colors =)

I have another, bigger sketchbook, too. I own it since 2004 and only used it for sketching and doodling. But since I don't like most of the stuff I've put in there, I rework it.

(I covered it in gesso, doodled in it, while the gesso was still wet and then, after it had dried I colored it with watercolors and my watersoluble crayons)

that is an old sketch. First I covered it with art masking fluid (got the idea from "itsaworkofart" on youtube) and then I brushed over it with watercolor. When I rubbed the fluid of, pretty much the whole sketch went with it... -.-

It looks much gostier now, don't you think?

the only thing original here are the horses, I sketched them in 2004 I guess. To rework it, I covered both pages in gesso, applied watercolor and stamped bubble wrap (in a heart shape and as a square) over the left side. I drew the outlines of the horses with watercolor, too and took some plastic wrapping to create the pattern beneath them (for me, it looks like water ^^)

here, I used pretty much the same procedure as above. I sprayed some more water onto it, after I had apllied watercolor, so it would run together and instead of outlining the girls with watercolor, too, I used a grey copic marker. This sketch is also from 2004.

That is the inside of my sketchbook. I glued some pages down I ripped from a short story, covered it in gesso, colored it with watercolor, covered it in gesso again and than took a rubber band, cut in in half and had then a string I could put in ink or watercolor and played around a bit =)

That's what I've been up too the past days and weeks.

It is so much fun to work with color!

I've already infected my family and friends and have serveral dates to paint with them individually <3

Thanks for the comment 準備吹發, through google translater I'm almost sure what it means ^^.
Sorry, I don't speak chinese. I'm comfortable with english and german and that's pretty much it.

The prompt for today was "listen to music".
so I put on some Lady Gaga and went berserk with my materials ^^

I recently bought some sandwich paper, you know, the thin, transparend stuff and tried first to spray it with some watercolor and water:

but it wasn't as effectful as I hoped, so I got my credit card out again and some acrylic paint (gold and silver, yummy ^^).
I finished the paper off with some splashes from a toothbrush and thinned acrylic paint

It will work as a transparent layer in my art journal later, to conceal or to protect something from smearing =)
It was so much fun! but unfortunately my credit card broke -.- I hope I have another old one somewhere.

First sight

I've made my first journal page with the March challenge in mind. I combined several prompts, which are credit cards, blue, collage and Kurt Cobain's quotation "Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.".

First I collaged the right side with pages of an old book and then I scraped some paint on my pages (with help of an old credit card)

If you haven't tried this yet, do! it is so much fun.

I added a heart with my bubble wrap and gold and silver acrylic on the left and some random doodles with my brush on the right side.

I glued a pin up girl and little stars onto it to represent our longing for an ideal body.

And then I sewed a little pocket for another girl with Kurt's quotation at the bottom.(I don't recommend sewing with a sewing machine in a moleskine book, it is nearly impossible -.-)

At last I wrote on the left side what I thin I am.
I#m pretty satisfied with how it came out, I love the idea of little pockets and hidden secrets ;-)

Art Journaling

Just a quick post today.
I've joined this great march challenge on Art Journaling and must say, I was inspired right away. I'll probably make every prompt posted yet in one or two days to catch up ^^.
I'm new to this whole idea of Art Journaling and have no problem getting started yet (I spend hours with my paints and brushes every day) but it is great fun to see other people take the same prompt and making something totally different and individual, yet the same!
I really have to take some pictures to show you guys!
What do you think of Art Journaling anyway. Did you have any idea that something like this existed? Well, I didn't =). Do you like to swing your brushes and spill your paint as much as I do? When did you doodle the last time?

I experimented with my camera the other day and made my first youtube video ^^

and I also started to using my sewing machine again =)
next to my paints and stamps and art journaling and and and...
I have so many ideas, it is like I had never the chance to be creative so I have to make and try everything that strikes my mind at once.
I also went thrift shopping the other day and found loads of stuff! (the light wouldn't play along, I hope you can see it anyway)

I'm not exactly sure yet how I will change the cloth but as soon as I have time I'll get to it.

creative, creative, creative... this is all I was the last week, and the one before and that one before o.Ô
This all started with my portfolio, but now it is something different, bigger somehow.
I used to draw since I could hold a pencil long enough to make a mark. We all did at that age. Bute I never took the pencil out off my hands. It was natural for me to draw... not to express myself or to record my surroundings, just something I liked to do.
But I think, without noticing, I kind of lost it. I don't know why but it took me much more effort every time to motivate myself to draw. I still drew...occassionally, but never with the same freedom. Maybe I felt caged, because I now wanted to draw to prepare for design school (a goal I set myself quite early). so for years (at least 2 or 3) I didn't drew for myself, but for others.
The closer the date for finishing my portfolio came, the less I wanted to draw. Until only one week was left.
In this one week it all came back.
I did things I had never done before (sewing on paper for example, spraypaint) and it was fun. I saw all the colors again and was enchanted once more.
funny, that the idea of my portfolio led me astray and the actual making of it drove me back and further forward than I would have ever imangined.

After all this melodramatic babble, I'll show you what I found over the last three weeks, that threw my motivation back into gear.

I've read "The creative license" by Danny Gregory, great book, love it and I recommend it for every one. Whether you only drew when you were little or even if you are a accomplished artist as an adult, it is great!

Then I plunged through iHanna's blog. She is such an inspiration, every post is a new world full of fantasy and color! (I bought the book above because of one of her reviews ^^)

through iHanna I found suziblu and her youtube channel. this woman is freakin' crazy and adorable and her little petite dolls are charming. I discovered a whole new world: Mixed Media! and did you ever hear about illustration friday?

again thanks to iHanna, I saw that one could easily sew paper, and found intsructions to do it

creativity unleashed by traci bautista is also worth a look. She is great with colors!

as you might have noticed, I dived into art journaling, scrapbooking and mixed media without even noticing!
and I already posted this, but I have to do it again, it is soooo great! make yourself a cup of tea, go to the john before you click the link, and than....enjoy ^^

what all this inspiraton led to I showed you in my portfolio, but since then, I made some more stuff, I'll show you soon, promise =)

Portfolio and new ideas

Yayh, I got to my pilates lesson today... haven't been there in ages!
And since I have a little time, I can show you my finished portfolio =).
The design school I was applying to, didn't take me, but there are many many others I haven't tried out yet, so it didn't bother me this much. And I wasn't really suprised since I'm not totally satisfied with how my portfolio turned out. I had to put in some old and blah drawings just because I hadn't enough time, but, oh well...

And since I was so creative the whole last week, it seems I can't bring my head to shut up shouting new ideas at me o.Ô

This for example came to me last night:

I decided to make my own stamps and bought some material like lino(? not sure it is the same in english... Linolschnitt is a method to cut a rubber-like surface (the brown stuff on the picture) to carve in your design and paste it on paper in putting it through a roller) and a magnet board you can cut with scissors (see the black stripe).

With the tools and cutters coming with the lino, I carved out my design, glued a magnet piece to the back and one to an old log of wood I used to play with, when I was little.

this way, I can make as many stamps as I like and mount and anmount them from my log as I use them

I also considered using velcro for this, but decided against, cause I want to be able to throw my used stamps in the water, when finished, and I'm not sure the velcro would like this very much...

I thought that was a pretty cool idea and wanted to share it with you =)

So, what do you think?

I, for my part, am going to make a whole set of letter stamps. The alphabet stamps you can buy in the shops are pricy and not the font I fancy, sooo... ^^

And there is something I wanted to share with you, too. I found those cool videos the other day and I'm not finished yet watching them.

Through his book, I started journaling and sketching again.

Danny Gregory also says in his books, one should make a series of things, possibly through a viewfinder. So I took an old matchbox and drew parts of my wokspace through it. And then I thought it would be fun drawing self portraits making a face in this kind of photo box style.

one task from the design school is to imagine a fairy-tale figure visiting berlin in 2010 and designing three outfits for it. I'm still not sure which I'll take. This is a first sketch of Gretel, from "Hänsel und Gretel". I also thought about taking Disneys princess Jasmin from "Aladdin" or a male fairy-tale figure such as Zwerg Nase (if you're not german, you probably don't know that one...a translation of the name would be "the dwarf called nose"< because of his huge beak)

After all this I got bored and listened to my Harry Potter Audiobooks ^^

sitting on my bed, I drew two more pictures, again self portraits but in a different style:

first, a normal version watching me, sketching myself...

and then, much more fantasy like inspired by a great artist, I can't yet link here, because I'm waiting for her permission ;-)

I was thinking of coloring it later, but that will be kind of time consuming I guess...

I went to my audition on thursday and it was all highly exciting and everything, great people, lots of talent and of course lots of stage fright ;-)
anyhow, as so often in this business, in the end, I and many others weren't picked for the next term...
But to look at it from a positive angle, the two examiners were very friendly and gave everyone a personal interview in which they explained their decision. I was surprisingly motivated afterwards, even if I got a rejection =)
So for now I've kinda locked myself in my room, drawing and endlessly drawing to finish (or at least start ;-) ) my portfolio for fashion school, where my deadline is next monday (the 8th of february). I'll soon post pictures, but for now I'm just too damned tired. It is quarter past 1 am and I wanna sleep -.-

It's in the middle of the night, but since I can't sleep, I could as well upload the remaining pictures.
You guessed right, I've found the wire for my camera this afternoon ^^, hurray! so I updated the former post and tell you now what's going on in my trivial life.

My situation is the following: I graduated in spring/summer 2009 and live in Berlin ever since. The whole summer and autumn were generously spent at my sewing machine or outside, enjoying the sun. I also premiered with my theater group in our first play in the new location and we are now preparing the second one. Since october I started to write applecations for drama and design school. And the whole december was spent in christmas presents making and meeting friends. I also started to go to the gym and getting singing lessons in order to prepare for the drama school auditons (the first one is at january the 28th).
Last week I got the letter from design and I have to deliver my portfolio until february the 8th... And until now I have only ideas and nothing finished for my portfolio o.Ô
With drama school it is a bit better, I have to present two monologs, one poem and one song to get to the next round and I already know what poem, song and monologs I will present. I just haven't learned them yet ^^

It seems I need pressure to work right ;-)

I hope all of you enjoyed your holidays!
My whole family gathered and we had a nerve-wracking, but nevertheless lovely time, sitting all together, eating for the most part (^^) ...AND opening presents of course ;-)
As promised, I now post all the christmas presents I kept secret and which costed me most of december, to make.

First, I stencilled a shirt for my cousin who studies in Vienna. When he was little, he used to like the A-Team, so I made the stencil from a googled picture of Mr. T

(I used cardboard from a cereal box, thats why the edges are kind of messy -.-)

sorry for the hairs, but my cat decided to sleep on it... ugh

and at last my cousin, proudly presenting it (with the christmas tree in the background ^^)
He obviously liked it, cause he wore the shirt the next evening when we went to a party =)
(<<< better pun...is last name begins with a "T"...good huh? XD )

His sister got a selfmade apron from me. From choosing the fabric, over making the pattern till sewing it, all of it was DIY originally from me =)

unfortunately I don't have a pic with her wearing it, so my dress form must sufice:

she also got some muffin forms and a tool to stirr and spread cupcake topping (don't know the name ;-P)

My friends got each a selfmade hat, crocheted of course =)

Those gave me the most trouble. I had to undo them several times, cause the directions from threadbanger wouldn't fit the quality of the yarn -.-

each one got a different color of course, suiting there usual clothing or favorite color.

and because my friend Paula (left) had birthday at New Year's Eve, I bought this little brooch to prettify her hat

unfortunately the colors in the picture are all wrong, but you get the idea =)

My brother got also an apron from me, but not entirely selfmade. I only added a nice little detail to it.

Cause my brother likes the idea of having a rat sitting on his shoulder (dunno where he got that from -.-) and also likes the movie "Ratatouille" I decided to get him a lttle helper for the kitchen.

That was it for christmas presents. But for a little game we played I last-minute-diy-ed again, namely a mourning veil. We played murder mystery dinner (great play, love it ^^) and the widow needed something to indicate her as such.

sorry for the blurry pic, my camera just wasn't able to focus this time...

I took an alice band (brit.), or headband as you may know it. It was plastic and covered in fabric. I hotglued different pieces of tulle onto it and covered the mess which I produced in ribbon with lace and pearls (a leftover from my the black prom dress). I also added some black rhinestones to the veil. I like the outcome and hope we can use it again =)

that's my cousin who got the flower apron. She was really pulling off the widow... ^^

Oh boy...
why is the time running so fast?
I have so much to do till christmas...argh -.-
Isn't it a coincidence that all of your friends want to make something with you when you haven't seen them in ages? The whole week I was running from one appointment to another. Of course I'm glad to see them all again...but man, why all at once?
And then I have to tell every single one what's going on in my life.
I'm not sure how many times I can repeat myself until I'm going to combust spontaneously... ^^

Well, I have to go back to work =)

First delay

So, as you might have noticed, I didn't came around to make anything last week. I had really no good enough idea that would have justified an alteration of the shirt.

But I wasn't lazily sitting around all day.
No, I was making christmas preparations =).
I would love to tell you what I'm making for my friends and family, but I don't know who reads my blog and who doesn't, so it's not save to tell. But I'll take pictures and post them after christmas.
It's a lot DIY stuff and I hope I can finish in time.
Tomorrow I'll shop for fabric ^^

And yesterday I made some cookies with my mum. They are sooo tasty!
I don't know what they are called in english, but in german it's Marillenringe.
You cut two cookies the same size and shape, and cut into one of them a smaller hole, put them together like a burger and fill the hole with jam.
Delicious!

I'm no sure whether I have still time to upcycle anything before christmas. But I will definitely sew and crochet and DIY, so don't worry ;-)

next project...or is it one?

Well, I decided which item of clothing I'll upcycle next, and this is it.

It's a shirt my friend Paula gave me once in a swap with the color violet as the theme. She handstitched those tiny little hearts on and I love it,

but it is a bit too short.
So I was thinking, why not add two layers of ruffles at the bottom and make it a dress. But then it might be too heavy and the shirt looses its shape... so maybe I just make a skirt? or two ^^
I'm not decided yet on this issue as well as on another, which is which fabric I'll use.
See? I think both look great and both would make wonderfull skirts...but o well, I've untill the end of the week to decide and make this, so I'll just ponder upon this a bit ^^

Btw, the kind of skirt I have in mind is best described here . But with only two ruffles and a bit shorter.

Again a tutorial by Max California (who I stalk just a tiny bit, cause she has so much amazing things on her blog...<- new hero

Oops!... I did it again XD

Yeah, I know, I know
I wanted to refashion one item of my wardrobe per week...
But after I posted my first attempt, I couldn't stop thinking about the new design for my polkadot dress.
So I sifted through my pattern magazines (Burda) in need of an easy pattern/explanation for a sweetheart neckline, and then it hit me...
The easiest way was of course maryy's tutorial for her hot hot heat dress !
I had to try this immediatly...

When I gathered the bust part, I was thinking about the straps... I sewed them to the bodice

and took the sides of my dress in, cause it was a little loose.

At the end, I even did the rolled hem (I shortened the dress about 20cm)
...aaaand I was finished o.Ô

took me less than 2 hours, yayh ^^
and I could even bring my brother to show me how to put 2 pictures in one (as seen above)

I finished at 11.45 pm last night. To insert the pockets was kind of tricky and I had to do a bit handsewing (It's not as need as I would have wished, but who cares ^^). To make the fit perfect, I also made some darts in the back and front.

Yeah, my first upcycling is done !

lets get right to the next one XD

This dress will be my project for the second week of my refashion madness, it's not the nicest fabric to work with and in the original design, one can detach the straps (they're secured with buttons...ugh)

So I'm thinking a 50's sweetheart neckline and a shorter skirt (probably kneelenght)

The Gilmore Girls are a great inspiration for this one, remember the dance where dean and rory broke up?

Unfortunately I'm sick , therefore I can't work as fast as I would wish -.-
ugh, I hate having a cold ...
But don't think I've forgotten about my task for this week. I'm still recycling my Sweeney jacket and hopefully it is finished by tomorrow.

Here some pictures of my progress:

I used my vest to create the kind of shape I wanted,

marked it and detached the sleeves with my seamripper

Than I changed the design.
Since I hemmed my underbust pinafore dress with my new serger, I kind of liked the finished look of it and decided to use that technique on my jacket with different colored thread. (mainly this gorgeous blue and hot pink)

I already serged the armholes and stripes to attach to the pockets. The pockets on the jacket were fake, so I made some from the scraps (I hate garments without pockets, where are woman supossed to put all their stuff?).

So I only have to insert the pockets, put on the stripes and try it on =)
It will be my seamstress jacket (from barber to seamstress XD) cause of the serger seams.
I really like the brightness of the gaudy (in a good way) seams <3

First ideas for my refashion project/ new workspace/ new way to organize my earrings/ water soluble crayons

Yayh, I know, creepy long title, huh o.Ô
Read on and you'll figure out why...(beware...picture heavy)

After I had my epiphany about upcycling my wardrobe, I picked my first project.
I'ts a jacket I bought this summer in Bavaria (speaking of epiphanies, the jacket reminded me of Sweeney Todd, so I had to buy it ^^), but it's so tight at the arms, that it hurts -.-

So I'll take the sleeves of and I've never been satisfied with the way the collar looks, so I've made some sketches when I couldn't sleep:

What do you think? Any version better than the other? (forget the little fascinator in the left corner, it's another idea I have ^^)
At the moment I don't like the red striped one soo much (part of it is, that it would be a lot of work to line the collar new XD)

I still have some time left to think and then to get to work...we'll see =)

Anyway, I never came around to show you my new workspace.
After my birthday at the end of September I went straight to Ikea to get big plastic boxes and other stuff to organize my little sewing corner in my room. I couldn't stand it to have my fabric all stashed up in my small drawer, it always got stuck and I didn't knew what kind of fabric and how much of it I had.
So I took all my sewing and fashion design books from the shelves to replace them with my huge plastic boxes filled with fabric.

I also bought my first serger !!! and I love it so much, I don't know how I survived without the rolled hem, or the neat way it serges the edges <3<3<3

Unfortunately the boxes are really heavy, I barely manage to get them down and put them up myself again -.- So maybe I'll make another trip to ikea to buy some smaller boxes, dunno yet.

the shelves over my bed where always filled with my random books and novels I don't really read anymore. But since bookcrossing there is nothing to bother me anymore and my fashion design and sewing books and of course my burda magazines (blue folders) took their place

I like to work in an organized environment. Creative chaos can be fun, but only when you're not searching anything desperately ^^

This leads me to my next headline: the fast and easy way I organized my earrings (really it took me only 15 minutes!)

Ok I'll admit, it's not the smartest and most beautifull way I hung it up, but it was the fastest...

all I used was an embroidery hoop I covered in pink tulle and some black duct tape to secure it ;-P

I've got the idea from decor it yourself (threadbanger)

And last but not least, I had some free time at hand and sifted through 100 Ideas to Spark you into Creative Action again.
I always liked no. 11 but could never find those watersoluble crayons (it was oil pastells, wasn't it?) Anyhow today I couldn't wait any longer and went for a real search. Fortunately I could locate similar crayons at boesner, an art speciatlist shop close-by (one reason I'm always broke -.-)

30 colors i totally fell in love with =)

For my taste there are too many gray colored crayons and much too less green ones, but hey, I can still buy them separately when I need more. I couldn't wait to try them, so here are my results: one picture before I used water and one after

I really like to doodle and to be inspired by other creations like this one here or here (one sketch was so great, that I all but copied it ^_^)

upcycling my wardrobe

Yayyy, that sounds like fun ^^
Well, I stumbled upon this idea when I tidied my room this night (I always do it before I go to sleep, I'm kind of nocturnal or something >.<)
Anyway, I realised that there is not much room left in my closet and to be honest, we (at least I) only wear 20-30% of our wardrobe in everyday life.
Maybe it's 40% with me, cause I use lots of clothes to create one style, but that's about it.
The remaining 60% are either unwearable (too small, too big, ugly, not your style anymore, a gift you couldn't refuse like the poncho your gran knitted for you ages ago, but you only wore it once -.-, etc.) or out of place (dracula halloween capes for example...I've got 2!)

So I've made myself a promise.
I will, from now on, select one piece from this 60% every week and upcycle/refashion/do a makover (or whatever you call it) with it. If I don't have any idea how to alter it within this week, I'll lay it aside for three weeks.
When it happends, that I haven't figured out what to do with this piece of wardrobe after one month I'll deliberately give it away, so it'll find a more grateful owner =)
I 'll also repair the neglected pieces of wardrobe who are missing a button or where a seam is torn apart, this will be counted as only half a surgery and I'll have to do more than one in a week.
Of course I don't tell you this out of fun, but because I will make this my new blog theme, so I can journalize my progress and give pictures as evidence.
Maybe the one or another is inspired to renew his or her own wardrobe =)
If this is the case, please send pictures of your upcycling, I would love to see them!

this years (poor) first attempt at christmas cookies

Hey there,
Since I love cookies and christmas isn't that far away I had my perfect excuse to make some =)
Dunno what happened but they didn't turned out as I imagined -.-

1) I was too lazy to mix dough, so I bought ready to make cookie dough and put it in the refridgerator...
that was my first uups, cause when I wanted to make the cookies, I had to wait till the dough was warm enough to work with

2) Everything went well then. I used our beautiful newly bought cookie cutters and created cute little stars and hearts.
I put the baking tray into the oven and... forgot it completly.
major uups

twenty minutes later I had some quite dark looking stars and black hearts -.-

3) I wanted to decorate the cookies with frosting, but when I wanted to mix it up with green food coloring I overdid it unintentionally

Well, all good things come in threes...

Did I mention that, when I put icing on the first cookie, it bounced and turned upside down, landing on the fresh iced side? And then, when I put icing on the rest of the cookies, it ran down the sides and looked more like a Halloween decoration than christmas?

Maybe today wasn't my day for this kind of stuff...I should have stayed in bed...or at my computer, where it is save ^^

Normally I'm really good at baking stuff and decorating it tastefully -.-

Well, I'll eat them anyway and I took pictures, so you can see for yourself what a mess I've made today.

how to (pronounce) crochet

Due to my huge amount of free time (I graduated this summer and took a year off, before studying), I've learned how to crochet!
I was searching for a special hat, the slouchy sort, and couldn't find it in the shops for some time now. I've bought one last year, I loved it, but unfortunately, I lost it -.-
So you can imagine the joy I felt, when I've stumbled upon this little episode of threadbanger.
Here is the earlier episode, where they teach you how to crochet.
Well, I must admit, that without the help of my dear mother, I would have been lost entirely...
But with her help and the play and pause button I finally made it ^^.
It took me only 2 days o.Ô and I never crocheted before!
I promise, pictures will follow as soon as possible, but at the moment my hair looks awful and the light isn't right to take photos.

just a quick good night post

For I am bushed, this is just a small post. I am almost to tired to lift a finger -.-
My exaustion is the result of a half day fabric huntig (the dutch farbic market pitched its tents in Potsdam again) and my first dance training that followed in the evening. Not to forget the one and a half hour it took me to get from Potsdam to Treptower Park (plain spoken, across Berlin), thanks to the not existing S-Bahn transit in most parts of the city -.-
argh!
The dancing was great fun, even if I could'nt keep up with the choreographer and my body will ache tomorrow for sure.
I'm most exited to learn Micheal Jackson's "Thriller", yeihh!
And with this thought in mind I will go to bed =)

Englsih english everywhere

Well, since most of my favourite websites are in english, I might as well start blogging in this beautiful language ^^

I now apologize for the first and last time if there are any mistakes in spelling, grammar or whatever might get wrong. I'm only human and english is not my mother tongue, so cope with it ;-P

But this post is not only about changing the language on this blog, but also showing you guys my newest discoveries.

One thing I've stumbled upon is this lovely list of 100 Ideas to Spark you into Creative Action
I felt deeply inspired by some points on the list, e.g. I started making little stickers (number 31)
Other sites I've been gratefull to have discovered are Cut out + keep, Threadbanger (gosh, I love those guys) and of course Burdastyle (Maryy is such an inspiration to many users there). Some Sites I've discovered more recently then others, but they were all very usefull to me, or I wouldn't bother you with them ;-)

While browsing the internet, I also felt the urge to start knitting. Yes knitting ^^
My gran tried to teach me ones, but I never got quite the hang of it... So here I go, needles ready to knit, with some help of youtube and my mom. Hopefully I will have finished my first project (a slouchy hat) till xmas along with two other hats I've decided to give to my friends as xmas present...ambitious aye?

Of course I still sew a lot, actually that reminds me of the next date for the dutch fabric market (previous known as "Stoffmarkt Holland") which is next week ^^
I've already wrote a list what I will buy this time, it is quite long... what a surprise o.Ô

Enough of the talk. I want to draw some more stickers =)

Hab ja grad eh nix zu tun, also warum nich ma ausmisten =)
Gesagt, getan.
Aber...wohin mit all den Büchern, wo doch wegschmeißen ein Todsünde ist und die Moabiter Bibliothek wohl kaum Interesse an englischsprachiger Literatur, Klassikern und Fantasy Romanen hat (hab nich nachgefragt, berichtigt mich, wenn ich falsch liege)
Was auch immer, zur Bibliothek wollt ich nich, wegschmeißen auch nicht, also was tun ?
Da erinnerte ich mich an einen Bekannten, der mal etwas von Bookcrossing (http://www.bookcrossing.com/) erwähnte. Die Idee dahinter ist ganz simpel. Verwandelt die Welt in eine kostenlose Bibliothek, wo es Bücher an allen Ecken gibt. In Umkleidekabinen, Zügen, Parkbanken, Monumenten, Statuen und überall.
Ich saß gestern die ganze Nacht um meine Bücher (24!!!) jeweils einzeln zu registrieren und mit einer so genannten BCID (BookCrossingID) zu versehen, dass sieht dann etwa so aus:

Außen ein kleiner Aufkleber, um Aufmerksamkeit zu erzeugen, und drinnen dann die Erklärung und wie man das Buch auf Bookcrossing registriert. (Man kann sich ein Starter Kit im BCShop kaufen oder sich kostenlos die Labels runterladen und ausdrucken)

Nächste Frage war jetzt, wo sollte ich die Bücher lassen, oder besser gesagt "freilassen"
Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten, wie vorhin schon aufgezählt, da ich aber nicht wusste wie das Wetter wird und meine Bücher nicht auch noch in Tüten stecken wollte, habe ich sie zum "Bücherwald" gebracht. Einem netten Bücherregal mitten im Prenzlauer Berg, das die Bücher vor Wind und Wetter schützt und in Bookcrossingkreisen wohl gut bekannt ist.

Leider von Graffiti nicht verschont, aber sonst vollkommen in Ordnung, habe ich meine Bücher in verschiedene Fächer gepackt (aber nur 7, ich bin nicht mit allen 24 losgezogen ^^, war so schon schwer genug) und hoffe nun, dass glückliche Finder einen Journaleintrag auf meiner Seite hinterlassen und die Bücher nach dem lesen wieder freilassen
Hier übrigens ein Hörbuch, was ich dagelassen habe, kam eh nie dazu mir die Aeneis von Vergil anzuhören ;-)
Natürlich hab ich auch gleich noch ein Buch mitgenommen In Vorbereitung auf den Film von Tim Burton, der 2010 rauskommt, wollte ich Alice imWunderland sowieso mal lesen.

Stoffmarkt Holland...schon wieder?

Ich kann einfach nicht anders.
Wenn der Stoffmarkt Holland in Potsdam stattfindet, muss ich einfach hin -.-
Das Schlimme daran ist nur, dass, egal wie sehr ich es mir auch vornehme, immer mehr eingekauft wird, als auf dem vorher penibel angefertigten Einkaufszettel steht ^^

Deshalb zeig ich hier mal meine neuesten Errungenschaften:

zuallererst schwarzer Tüll für das schwarze Abiballkleid, welches man weiter unten bestaunen kann (kommt unter den Saum, dabit es ein wenig mehr absteht ^^)
und dieser lustige türkise plüschball. Der alte hing ursprünglich an meiner handtasche, aber die Katze hat ihn zerpflückt und seinen Inhalt im Wohnzimmer verteilt -.-

Dann lila Gummiband für weitere Schlüpferprojekte (muhaha ich mag das Wort ^^)

weißes Satinband für meine Ballerinas, ich muss sie am Knöchel befestigen sonst rutsch ich bei der Vergabe meines Abizeugnisses aus den Schuhen raus und knall aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach auf die Bühne

Und sehr teures (6,95€/m) Spitzenband für mein schwarzes Abikleid (kommt zwischen Saumrüsche und Oberteil ran)
sehr hübsch mit pailletten und Perlen =)
all diese Sachen standen auf der Liste, zusammen mit der 10m Rolle Schnittpapier, von der ich jetzt ma kein Foto gemacht habe.
Aber da war ja nch was...richtig dieser eine Stoff, an dem ich nicht vorbeigehen konnte. Er sah so umwerfend aus, dass ich schlicht und ergreifend vergaß, dass mein Stoffschublade zu Hauser am überquillen ist und dann war er auch noch soooo preiswert, nur 2€/m...ich war hin und weg ^^

vielleicht ahnt ihr es schon, es ist der Stoff, den ich als hintergrund für die obrigen Bilder verwendet habe

vielleicht mach ich ein Cape für meine Abikleider draus...würde bestimmt cool aussehen und passt zu meiner Haarfarbe

Ich schäm mich nicht, immerhin hatte ich noch Geld übrig, als ich den Markt verlassen habe... das is nen starkes Stück, wenn man bedenkt, dass ich sonst immer nochmal zum Bankautomaten gerannt bin um Nachschub zu holen ^^

So, mittlerweile bin ich mit meinen 5 ABI prüfungen durch und kann mich voll und ganz auf meine Hobbys konzentrieren ^^
Immerhin habe ich mir vorgenommen nicht nur eins, sondern zwei Abiballkleider zu nähen o.Ô

Das Kleid für den Abiball meiner Cousine ist so gut wie fertig, ich bin mir nur über die Saumlänge noch nicht ganz im klaren. Vorbild war ja das lila Kleid aus der aktuellen Easy Fashion, davon dürfte etwas weiter unten noch ein Bild sein, hier jedenfalls meine Variante:

leider sieht man nicht so viel, ich hab die Bilder abends gemacht und schwarz ist einfach mal nich lichtaufsaugende Farbe
Im Original ist es eine Art Ballonrüschensaum, ich wollte es allerdings etwas länner haben und keinen Ballon, insofern ist die Rüsche einfach mal doppelt so lang, weiß aber noch nicht ob ich es so lasse
die Träger sind auf dem Rücken verknotet und sitzen so tief, das ein normaler BH wohl nicht in Frage kommt -.-

obwohl das Kleid in der easy Fashion war, also leicht zu nähen sein sollte, ist der Blendenteil wirklich schwierig gewesen, ich bin am überlegen, ob ich es nicht nochmal aufmache, weil ich so unzufrieden damit bin, aber im dunkeln sieht man ja auch nich so viel...hmmm

übrigens mein erster Reißverschluss den ich eingnäht habe ^^, die Anleitugn hat mich fast in den Wahnsinn getrieben...

Und weil ich viel zu viel Zeit hatte und meine Nähmaschine mich so nett angelächelt hat, setzte ich gleich eine Idee um, die ich bei http://www.threadbanger.com/ aufgeschnappt habe

Der Stoff ist ein altes H&M Kleid, welches mir nie so recht gefallen hatte, desto glücklicher bin ich jetzt, etwas neues draus gemacht zu haben

Ich hab das Schnittmuster ähnlich dem Video gebastelt, allerdings musste ich ganz schön zirkeln, weil das clarebare-Muster einfach mal viel zu klein war -.-
letztendlich hatte ich aber viel zu viel Stoff vorne und hinten übrig, deshalb habe ich noch längs gummistreifen miteingearbeitet
Hinten einmal

und vorne geich 5 Streifen (der Stoff würde sich ohne diese Veränderung so komisch dtauen, dass es echt verboten aussieht ^^)
Und als kleines Detail noch eine passende Schleife mit einem niedlichen Knopf vom stoffmarkt Holland.

Der is ja schon wieder diesen Samstag, wer kommt mit? ^^

Mottowoche

Hab ich schon gesagt, dass ich Traditionen liebe? Nein? Eine ganz besonders sogar ^^.
Jedes Jahr haben die 13er des Alexander von Humboldt Gymnasiums eine Mottowoche. Diese bezieht sich auf die letzte Woche in ihrem Leben, in der sie noch Unterricht haben und jeden Tag gibt es ein anderes Motto, nach welchem man sich zu verkleiden hat.
Am Montag gings gleich los mit

BAD TASTE

Mein Kleid war ziemlich cool, die Oma einer Freundin hatte es noch im Kleiderschrank, ursprünglich stammt es aus den 80ern ^^ (mit Minnie Maus!) und mit dem obligatorischen Seitenpferdeschwanz hieß ich für den Rest des Tages Cindy Lauper und musste "Girls just wanna have fun" singen...

Dann kam Dienstag:

ZIRKUS

Meine Haare waren echt der Hammer. Bin um 4.30 Uhr aufgestanden um die Lockenwickler rauszumachen und jede Locke einzeln mit Haarspray zu betonieren...danach hat ich aber auch nen Afro ^^ und die Korsage war auch recht gewöhnungsbedürftig. Immerhin teilte nicht jeder meine Vorstellung vom Moulin Rouge Zirkus ;-)
Am Abend war noch Frühlingsball, da hab ich aber leider noch keine Fotos von gekriegt. Und am nächsten Morgen gings dann im

SCHLAFANZUG zur Schule

so sahen wir zwar die letzten 13 Jahre aus, nur hatten wir halt keine Schlafanzüge an...aber was solls ;-)Musste dann auch tatsächlich so nach Hause fahren...die in der S-Bahn haben nich schlecht geguckt ;-)

und am Donnerstag wurden dann die Geschlechter getauscht

Glücklicherweise hatte mein großer Burder mal ne Punkphase und ich konnte mir seine Sachen leihen. Auf den Iro bin ich ganz besonders stolz ^^

Das Finale am Freitag bildete dann

Wenn ich groß bin werd ich...

Ich habe mir wirklich den Kopf darüber zerbrochen, was ich früher mal werden wollte. zur Auswahl standen Sailor Moon, Hexe oder Standartänzerin (ich hätt mir so gern ein riesiges Ballkleid angezogen, aber 40€ Ausleihgebühr waren mir zu viel). Letztendlich blieb ich bei Modedesignerin, immerhin wollte ich das werden seid ich 5 war (obwohl ich das Wort damals noch nicht aussprechen konnte ^^)
Dieses Bild ist für mich ganz besonders wichtig, denn es zeigt meine letzte Kunststunde in meinem Leben...
Die ganze Woche war ich nicht einmal traurig, dass die Schule vorbei ist, doch an den letzten beiden Stunden am Freitag wurde mir schon komisch... so eine tolle Kunstlehrerin, wie meine find ich wohl so schnell nicht wieder. Die Vorstellung, dass die Schule vorbei ist, stört mich nicht. Doch der Gedanke, nie wieder in ihrem Unterricht zu sitzen ist mehr als merkwürdig.
Deshalb bin ich froh, dass unser gesamter Kunstkurs zum Abschluss den Schulhof verziert hat. Jeder sollte in einem rieseigen gemeinsamen Bild seine Träume und Visionen für die Zukunft verewigen. das Resultat lässt sich sehen...nur nicht unbedingt auf diesem Bild. Mal schauen ob ich noch ein besseres finde.
Alles in allem bin ich froh Ferien zu haben. Doch bammelts mir schon vor den Prüfungen und vor der Zukunft generell. Bin gespannt, was alles auf mich zu kommt ;-)

Und wieder mal bin ich der Veruchung erlegen -.-
Direkt von der Schule zum Stoffmarkt. Als ich angekommen war, strahlte die Sonne in voller Pracht und der Wind wehte mir mein Kleid um die Ohren (sowas sieht aber auch nur bei Marilyn Monroe gut aus...)
Zu meiner Verwunderung war es gegen halb 3 auch schon relativ leer, kaum noch stoffsüchtige dicke Frauen, die einem die Knöpfe und Reißverschlüsse aus der Hand rissen oder einen gar nicht erst an die Theke lassen. Vielleicht wirkte auch nur mein riesiger Schulrucksack abschreckend (es konnte recht gefährlich werden, für Menschen in meiner Nähe, wenn ich mich drehte ;-) )
Aber teuer isser geworden. Plötzlich kosteten die Stoffe zwischen 8 und 21€ den Meter, erst ganz am Schluss fand ich den Satin und Organzastand den ich suchte, wo meine geliebten Stoffe für 2€/m zu finden waren. Und da hab ich zugeschlagen ^^
Für dieses wunderschöne Kleid (Burda Easy Fashion E988) habe ich gleich 2 verschiedene Farben gewählt, einmal nähe ich es in Flieder, wie auf dem Bild, und dann nochmal in schwarz mit Spitze für den Abiball meiner Cousine.Hier die Stoffe und das Zubehör:Der schwarze Stoff wirkt leicht bläulich, des blöde Licht ist Schuld. Aber auf die Spitze vorne im Bild bin ich ganz besonders stolz, für 3€ den Meter hab ich mir gleich 2,5m geholt und es ist Stretchspitze ^^.
Da das Kleid für meinen eigenen Abi-Ball ja gerade voll in Arbeit ist, und ich nicht weiß, ob es hinterher überhaupt passt (der Schnitt war nur bis Gr. 42), habe ich mir nochmal Notfallstoff in einer anderen Farbe besorgt, wenn die erste Variante funktioniert, kann ich den dann als normales Partykleid benutzen, hier übrigens das vollendete Modell aus der Burda vom März (das Designer Zwillingspaar Meier.Meier hat für Burda dieses tolles Kleid kreiert)Mein bereits teilweise zugeschnittenes Kleid ist eher Mitternachtsblau im Futter (siehe vorheriger Post) und in einem wundervollen grünblau changeierenden Organzastoff. Weil aber eine Pelisse (Stolz und Vorurteil) in braunrot darüber soll, habe ich für das Ersatzkleid goldenen Futterstoff und crèmefarbenen Organza gewählt:Bisher haben alle Stoffe 2€/m gekostet, die Nähgarne jeweils 70 Cent und die Nahtreißverschlüsse waren auch nur 2€ (bei Karstadt gibt man dafür locker 7€ aus)
Also ganz preiswert bis jetzt... Doch dann wollte ich ja noch unbedingt diesen wundervollen Rock aus der aktuellen Burda Easy Fashion nähen...Jaaa...da brauchte ich drei Stoffe für und davon jeweils etwa 1m. Den roten Blümchenstoff und den lilanen Tierprint für jeweils 6€/m und den wundervollen schwarzen Stoff gabs für 4€/m. Dann noch einen Knopf (es wurden zwei, weil ich beide so toll fand) und natürlich ein Nahtreißverschluss. Insgesamt also ein Rock für ca. 20€, das ist vertretbar denk ich, aber im Vergleich zu mehreren 8€ Kleidern, natürlich teuer ^^.
Ansonsten gabs noch eine neue Ersatzklinge für meinen treuen Rollschneider und Schnittpapier, was einem aufm Stoffmarkt praktisch hinterhergeschmissen wird. Hier nochmal ein Gesamtbild meiner Errungenschaften:
Zum Schluss taten mir nicht nur die Füße, sondern auch der Rücken weh, wegen besagtem Rucksack, der noch etwaige Schulbücher enthielt.
Aber schön wars trotzdem und ich freu mich schon wieder auf den nächsten Stoffmarkt ^^

Nie wieder Physik-Klausur

So, damit wäre das auch überstanden.
Ich hab heute die letzte Physik Klausur meines Lebens geschrieben! Die Freude war so groß, dass meine Freundin und ich gleich mit Robby-Bubble in Plastikbechern anstoßen mussten. Danach konnte ich die Sonne auf dem Schulhof erst richtig genießen ^^.
Wenn ich so drüber nachdenke...ich habe nur noch 2 Wochen Schule. Dieser Gedanke ist beängstigend und befreiend zugleich.
Aber noch kann ich gar nicht soweit in die Zukunft gucken, denn die nächste Woche wird nochmal richtig hart: Französisch Klausur, Geschichtsvortrag, Pädagogik Test, Sport Test, Präsentation meines Traumhausmodells in Kunst und Mathe Test über die e-Funktion...ist das nicht schön?
Deshalb ab in die Heia, nochmal glückselig an die überstandene Klausur in Physik denken und schnell einschnurpeln, denn ein Abiturient macht ne Menge, nur schläft er nie...

lang ist's her

Joah, soviel zu meinem Tatendrang vor 2 Jahren. Ich musste den Blog erst mal wieder entstauben, aber bald gehts hier wieder richtig los ^^.
Ich steck im Moment mitten im Abitur und kenne weder die Bedeutung des Wortes Schlaf, noch fühle ich mich auf irgendeine Art menschlich.
Zum Update: ich habe nur noch ca 3 Wochen Schule (yeahaaa), bin im Moment jeden Dienstag in einer Jugendtheatergruppe, versuche nebenbei weiterhin fleißig nähen zu lernen und strebe ein Studium im Breich Modedesign an, am liebsten an der UdK, folglich bastele ich gerade auch noch an meiner Mappe rum (allerdings mehr theoretisch als praktisch). Gestern Abend habe ich den Schnitt für mein Abiballkleid kopiert und meine selbstgebastelte Schneiderpuppe mit dem Futterstoff eingekleidet, Fotos folgen noch.
Da Donnerstag meine letzte Physik-Klausur ansteht, wars das auch erstmal von mir. Ein geplagtes Julia wendet sich jetzt der Kernphysik zu...

Übung macht den Meister...

und ich muss noch jeeeede Menge üben ^^
Angespornt durch eine Freundin, habe ich mir heute eine Tasche für meinen Taschenrechner genäht. Der arme musste seit 2 Jahren ungeschützt in meiner Tasche rumliegen...
Jedenfalls habe ich volle 3 Stunden dafür gebraucht.
In der ersten habe ich graue Haare gekriegt weil mir nich klar war wie ich den Schnitt ausm Kopf ausarbeiten soll...nach langem hin und herdrehen hab ich dann alle skizzen weggeschmissen und einfach drauflosgelegt, frei nach dem Motto "wird schon schiefgehen" ^^
Dann hab ich mich glaube ich anderthalb stunden mit dem Ober- und Unterfaden gekämpft und letztendlich gewonnen. das ganze könnte man mit viel Phantasie auch als nähen bezeichnen =)
in der letzten halben stunde war ich dann eigentlich fertig, aber irgendwas fehlte noch...also flugs ne schleife per hand rangenäht und fertig is das prachtstück

das weiße ist ein klettverschluss, er war dummerweise selbstklebend und als ich ihn annähen wollte, hat mir der kelber meine nähnadel versaut -.-

die fotos wirken leider nicht ganz so schön, die farben sind auf dem bildschirm ein wenig zu krass...

das wars ma wieder von mir, bilder von der entstehung habe ich leider nicht, war zu beschäftigt ^^

So, ich habs endlich geschafft !!!
Mal sehen ob dieser Blog hier von Dauer ist, ich hab zwar viele Ideen, setze aber für gewöhnlich grad ma 1/10 davon um und lass davon noch die Hälfte nach ungefähr 1 Woche wieder ins Leere laufen...

ihr seht, den Blog hier zu erstellen ist erst mal kein Garant dass ich auch fleißig schreibe,...aber im Moment bin ich voller guter Vorsätze ^^

Da ich viele, viele Hobbys hab, und viiiel zu wenig Zeit für alle, werd ich mich in dem Blog nich auf eins spezialisieren sondern euch an der ganzen Bandbreite meines verrückten kleinen Gehirns teilhaben lassen.
Wenn dann noch Schulstress und ein paar Lehreranekdoten hinzukommen...was solls, is ja auch mein Blog nich =)

Also, ich bin gespannt wie sich das hier entwickelt und vor allem auf eure Kommentare.
Bilder die ich hier reinstelle, werde ich vermutlich selbst gemacht haben (außer ich schreibe extra dazu von wem sie sind, klar oder ^^). Wenn ihr sie weiterverwenden wollt, fragt mich erst um Erlaubnis. Ich beiß nich, versprochen.
